These paintings have followed the seasonal changes in the Forest where I live.

The colours become more subtle as Autumn turns to Winter. I am fascinated by the play of low sun on faded fronds of bracken, grasses and birch trunks. The Winter's many shades of grey are a more interesting challenge to me than the more obvious colours of other seasons.
